CEO, Central Economic Development Agency
As the Chief Executive of CEDA, Linda Stewart leads a team that is focused on delivering economic prosperity for the Manawatu through investment attraction, business expansion and retention, building and growing a sustainable talent and skills pool, and profiling the region to attract people, business and investment. With a background in business development, sales and recruitment for organisations such as Mars Inc. and Virgin Australia, Linda brings a commercial lens to economic development – and a real belief that through collaboration and partnerships, we can achieve so much more.
Currently serving on the Board of Economic Development New Zealand, and Chair of the Employer and Community Engagement Working Group for the IST Establishment Unit, Linda is passionate about the potential for regional New Zealand.
Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, Linda has made Manawatū her home and is an avid triathlete. Training for these events takes her all over our picturesque region and one of her favourite places is the Sledge Track – filled with natural wonders, historic mine sites and echoing bird song – it’s the perfect tonic for a busy life.
