On the 30th March 2021, Hon Dr Megan Woods, Minister for Research, Science and Innovation formerly opened the purpose built world class research facility – Te Ohu Rangahau Kai.
Te Ohu Rangahau Kai is a name gifted by the Rangitāne iwi. It means “a cooperative community of food researchers”. Situated on the Massey University campus, this facility is a collaborative union between AgResearch, Massey University and Riddet Institute all of which deliver world-class research that supports innovation and excellence in food production in New Zealand. That quality, trusted research of course flows through to the quality of our exports as a trading nation.
We are opening our doors to the food industry to highlight some of the exciting research that is being undertaken in Te Ohu Rangahau Kai and to show off our meat and milk processing plants.
Bus transfers from Awapuni Racecourse will be available.
